Teller County Government News and Information Teller County is now under a STAGE 1 FIRE BAN. This means NO burning of materials not contained in outdoor fireplace or permanent fire ring, NO explosives, fireworks and NO OPEN BURNING of rubbish or debris. Click here for full STAGE 1 FIRE BAN definition Please make note that effective June 10, 2013, all electrical permits required within the city limits of Cripple Creek will now be issued and inspected through the Cripple Creek Building Department. Any currently open electrical permits issued by Teller County’ Building Department will be completed by Teller County.
