Mark Dettenrieder
Representing District #1

Marc moved to Teller County with his wife Angel in 1996.  Since that time, he has worked in mining, financial planning, and higher education.  Marc is an honors graduate from Regis University with an MBA in Operations Management and holds a magna cum laude bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University in Communications/Political Science.

Over the years Marc has engaged in various volunteer endeavors in the community.   He has served on two Governors appointed Commissions for the state of Colorado and is a former member of the Pikes Peak Workforce Investment Board, Teller County Planning Commission, Teller County Local Emergency Planning Committee, and the Teller County Community Wildfire Protection Plan Committee.

Marc believes in active, positive, and principled leadership.  He is an advocate of economic growth and development and promotes an environment whereby regulations are kept to a minimum so that local businesses can thrive and prosper.  The conservative principles that motivate Marc are limited government, fiscal responsibility, and individual responsibility.  As Commissioner, Marc is committed to serving Teller County and represents the best interests of his fellow citizens at the local, regional, and state level.
