Please make note that effective January 1st, 2014 Teller County Building Department will no longer review plans and issue building permits for the City of Victor. Elevators shall still be inspected by Teller County.

Please make note that effective November 21, 2013, the City of Woodland Park’s Building Services Department will begin accepting and processing all building permit applications (within City Limits) in their offices located at 220 W. South Avenue. Click here for more info.

Please make note that effective June 10, 2013, all electrical permits required within the city limits of Cripple Creek will now be issued and inspected through the Cripple Creek Building Department.


Duties of the Department
The Teller County Building Department is responsible for regulating building activities to ensure that residential and commercial structures comply with applicable building codes.  The Board of Review assists the Building Department by issuing Contractor Licenses, reviewing complaints against contractors, considering requests for variances to the Universal Building Code, and mediating disputes between contractors, citizens, and the Building Department. The Board of Review, which is appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, is comprised of nine volunteers from the local construction industry. They meet once each month. The Teller County Building Department in collaboration with the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department has implemented the Regional Building Department's Online Permit Tracking System for Contractors and Public Use.  You may now pay for your Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Re-Roof Permits online with most major credit cards.  Please proceed to the Log On feature below.
  
Log On - This is for Contractors (both Commercial and Homeowner) to log on to their account and view Permits, Inspections and any Fees.  You may also schedule an Inspection for any related open Permits. (You can also access this from the dropdown menu at the top of this screen). You may now pay for your Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Re-Roof permits with most major credit cards.

Building Inspectors are available to answer Building Code questions from 7:30AM to 8:30AM Monday thru Friday at our offices or by phone at 719-687-3048

The Building Official is available for customer service between 2:30pm and 4:00pm Monday thru Friday. For other times of day an appointment will be required and please call ahead in advance to ensure that I can be available. Ph# 719-686-5408 or email chamberlina@co.teller.co.us.

The Plans Examiner is available to answer Building Code questions from 8:00AM to 11:30AM Monday thru Friday at our offices and available by appointment the remainder of the day.  Please call in advance to schedule an appointment at 719-686-5405

Notice to Builders/Homeowner Builders:

  Effective October 1, 2009 the new Owner Info Sheet now posted on the Building Application webpage, will be required for any building permit submittal requiring a site plan.
