Teller County Birth/Death records cover Cripple Creek,
Elkton, Florissant, Gillette, Goldfield, Victor, Divide, Woodland Park and
some areas of Green Mountain Falls. Birth records state in 1876. Death records
start in 1902. Records were not required in Colorado until 1910.
From 1909 to the present, biirth
certificates for any Colorado county may be obtained through this
office.
The cost of a birth certificate is $17.75;
additional certificates ordered at the same time will be $10.00 each.
The cost of a death certificate is $17.00;
additional certificates ordered at the same time will be
$10.00 each. All
requests must be submitted on the application provided below. Along with the
completed application a copy of identification must be included. (link below
to list of acceptable documentation)
Effective January 1, 2007, proof of your relationship or
direct and tangilble interest is required. Applicants must submit proof of
their relationship or documentation to establish their legal interest in
obtaining vital records. (i.e. birth certificates, marriage certificates,
certified court orders, insurance policies)
