Bill 'Buck' Buckhanan

Bill serves Teller County as a Commissioner for District One which includes Cripple Creek, Victor, Florissant and the west side of the county.

Bill “Buck” and his wife, Linda, have lived in Teller County for 30 years.  They have two children, Will and Cindy.  He is the owner of Cripple Creek Gold Camp and Horse Company located on the Gillette Flats.  Bill has been active in the Cripple Creek area of the county as a teacher for School District RE-1, Purchasing Supervisor for NERCO Mining, owner of Buck’s Barn in Cripple Creek, and Marketing Director for the City of Cripple Creek.

He graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1971 with a B.S. degree in Education.  His fields of study were Business and Economics.

His belief in God, Country, and Family values are driving factors to want to serve Teller County.

Bill’s objective as a Commissioner is the health, safety, and welfare of the people of the county.  County roads, accountability of local government and service to the people are his main concerns.
