Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)

This is a federal program providing cash assistance to needy families with dependent children.
The program was designed to demonstrate that it is possible to overcome barriers and become self-sufficient with the help of logical support services.
The amount of financial aid provided is based on family size, income, resources and ages of the children, starting from the date the application is received.
