Food Stamps (Food Assistance Program)

Food purchase assistance for families and individuals that qualify. By
going to the above website, you will be able to download an application to bring
to the Teller County Department of Social Services for processing.
Medical assistance for individuals that qualify
The Federal health insurance program for people 65 years of age and older;
certain younger people with disabilities
Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)-
Provides financial assistance and medical benefits to eligible families.
This is a federal program providing cash assistance to needy families with dependent children.
The program was designed to demonstrate that it is possible to
overcome barriers and become self-sufficient with the help of logical
support services.
The amount of financial
aid provided is based on family size, income, resources and ages of the
children, starting from the date the application is received.
QMB Program-
Qualified Medical Benefit. Provides financial assistance to pay
Medicare premiums for eligible applicants.
Baby Care Program-
Provides medical assistance to eligible pregnant mothers and children
Daycare Program-
Assistance with daycare costs for eligible families
Low-income Energy Assistance Program. Assistance with heating costs.
Application period is from November 1 through April 30 of each year.
