Department of Social Services (DSS)

Mission Statement

Providing effective public social services in proactive partnership with the community to support families, assist them with basic needs, and enable a path to independence.

DSS has two primary community functions:
Administering the various public assistance programs
Providing protection fro children and adults who are unable to protect or care for themselves.

Our Vision:
To see that families in our communities are safe, healthy, stable and self-sufficient
