    • Applications that are not completed clearly and/or are not signed and dated may not receive consideration.
    • Applications will be kept for a period of one (1) year from the date application is received.
    • During that one year period an applicant can call Human Resources at (719) 689-2988, or email Human Resources and ask that their application be included for consideration for the desired open position.
    • The County will not be responsible for applications left in other County offices with the understanding that they will be forwarded to the HR office.

Job Description: Teller County seeks a part-time Youth Involvement Coordinator for our Public Health Dept. This is a Part-time position which oversees the Communities That Care (CTC) youth engagement throughout Teller County. With training and oversight from the Public Health Program Manager, the Youth Involvement Coordinator is responsible for leading the development and sustainment of youth voice and involvement in the CTC process. The Youth Involvement Coordinator will ensure completion of the CTC Milestones and Benchmarks. This is a grant-funded position, part-time (28 hours per week). The Youth Involvement Coordinator: leads the CTC Youth Involvement Workgroup; is responsible to identify, recruit, orient and maintain a diverse representation of youth involvement in the CTC process; assists in the development and execution of a youth involvement work plan. Requirements: Possession of a valid CO driver’s license; ability to pass a background check. Responsible for performing duties related to enforce Federal, State and County laws and ordinances in conjunction with processing and care of prisoners; process inmates into and on release from the jail; monitor and respond to inmate and staff needs; work in control room and control alarms and access to and from the jail and inmates; and observe inmates in cells and wards and staff in jail. The most important and essential job function of the position is attitude which includes the following: interacting positively and cooperating with co-workers, responding politely to customers, delivering customer service, working as a team member, functioning under intense time pressure and responding in a positive manner to supervision.
