Applicants Must Follow These Instructions

Teller County applications are available at the Teller County Human Resource Office, 112 North A Street, P.O. Box 959, Cripple Creek, 80813, or by clicking on the above link “Job Application Form”. This form can be printed and submitted using the instructions below.

   • Applications that are not completed clearly and/or are not signed and dated may not receive consideration.
   • Applications will be kept for a period of one (1) year from the date application is received.
   • During that one year period an applicant can call Human Resources at (719) 689-2988, or email Human Resources and ask that
      their application be included for consideration for the desired open position.
   • The County will not be responsible for applications left in other County offices with the understanding that they will be forwarded
      to the HR office.

Job Description: Teller County seeks an individual to fill the position of WIC Education Specialist for the Department of Public Health in Divide. This position is responsible for the implementation and compliance of all WIC programs according to contractual regulations and practices. Person must be able to implement the WIC programs; be able to determine and certify persons eligibility; screen for and analyze nutritional risk factors; conduct health and nutritional assessments; provide nutrition education; refer high-risk clients for appropriate follow-up and community resources; monitor approved food retailers for compliance; complete reports and maintain accurate chart records for local agency and State; and be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Job Description: Teller County seeks an individual to fill the position of Community Prevention Coordinator in the Public Health Department. This position supports the Teller County Public Health & Environment substance use prevention work through the “Communities that Care” (CTC) community engagement model. Under supervision of the Public Health Program Manager, this position will support the community board and work groups to build their capacity to collect and analyze data, secure alternative funding sources, and assess local policy and climate to promote sustainability of the prevention initiatives. The Community Prevention Coordinator will assist in evaluating the effectiveness of selected strategies. This is a grant-funded position. The Community Prevention Coordinator: pursues collaborative opportunities within the community and state to create partnerships that align monies, streamline efforts, and strengthen the work; develops a plan for community board maintenance and recruitment; partners with Youth Advisor to conduct focus groups and other evaluation efforts to support plan implementation, evaluation and measure implementation fidelity. Receive and respond to telephone and radio requests for officer assistance and information; receive and dispatches radio messages to all units (to include, but not limited to: Patrol, Code Enforcement, Division of Gaming, Division of Wildlife, U.S. Forest Service, Colorado State Parks, Animal Control, Fire Departments, Ambulances, Emergency Medical Services as well as other agencies) when on the County frequency.
