Applicants Must Follow These Instructions

Teller County applications are available at the Teller County Human Resource Office, 112 North A Street, P.O. Box 959, Cripple Creek, 80813, or by clicking on the above link “Job Application Form”. This form can be printed and submitted using the instructions below.

    • Applications that are not completed clearly and/or are not signed and dated may not receive consideration.
    • Applications will be kept for a period of one (1) year from the date application is received.
    • During that one year period an applicant can call Human Resources at (719) 689-2988, or email Human Resources and ask that their application be included
       for consideration for the desired open position.
    • The County will not be responsible for applications left in other County offices with the understanding that they will be forwarded to the HR office.

listed address or in person to the above listed address.

Job Description: Teller County seeks an Equipment Mechanic II to work in the Fleet Department. The Equipment Mechanic II performs highly skilled mechanical repair and diagnostic work in the maintenance and/or repair of County vehicles and equipment in a departmental shop/facility. Performs preventative maintenance work and shop cleanup tasks. Documents job time, vehicle hours and miles, parts used per job, parts needed, and any repairs accomplished and provides this important information to proper sources, including input data into computer. Repair, rebuild, replace and diagnose problems in their area of responsibility on a wide variety of County equipment. Design and fabricate parts when needed. Inspects vehicles and equipment for compliance to State and Departmental Standards and/or Regulations then correcting any inconsistencies. Must be able to operate all classes of vehicles to troubleshoot, test and determine repairs needed. Provide “on-the-road” service in emergency situations including temporary repairs in the field. Job Description: This is a Grant Funded position in which the successful candidate will operate as an interdisciplinary team member supporting Teller County clients enrolled in RCCO and serve as an integral team member in the Health Navigator program. Position functions include: outreach to RCCO members, expanded outreach to enrolled Medicaid members and non-enrolled Teller County residents. Must be able to collect and compile data to complete reports and maintain accurate client records, assess patient strengths and challenges, screen for and analyze age appropriate risk factors and conduct community outreach activities.
Requirements: High School diploma or GED required, college preferred, plus two (2) years experience working directly with public. Effective written, verbal and auditory skills, and ability to speak in public. Possession of valid CO driver’s license.
