Applicants Must Follow These Instructions

Teller County applications are available at the Teller County Human Resource Office, 112 North A Street, P.O. Box 959, Cripple Creek, 80813, or by clicking on the above link “Job Application Form”. This form can be printed and submitted using the instructions below.

    • Applications that are not completed clearly and/or are not signed and dated may not receive consideration.
    • Applications will be kept for a period of one (1) year from the date application is received.
    • During that one year period an applicant can call Human Resources at (719) 689-2988, or email Human Resources and ask that their application be included
       for consideration for the desired open position.
    • The County will not be responsible for applications left in other County offices with the understanding that they will be forwarded to the HR office.

listed address or in person to the above listed address.

Job Description: Teller County is accepting applications for Post Certified Deputy's. The Deputy Sheriff performs duties related to the enforcement of federal, state and county laws and ordinances, protection of life and property and public assistance. Duties include patrol, investigation, detentions, or special assignments. Enforce all laws of the state of Colorado. Answer service calls and take appropriate action on those calls. Patrol county to detect illegal actions or activity and to insure the security and safety of businesses, homes and other properties within his/her area of responsibility. Responsible for the care and security of all prisoners including inmates assigned to the Detention facility who are lawfully in the custody of the Sheriff. Job Description: Teller County seeks a person to fill the position of Data Collection Specialist for the Assessor’s Office in Cripple Creek, Colorado. The Data Collection Specialist performs field inspections for vacant, agricultural or other classified land in Teller County, determining land attributes and property characteristics and handles various administrative functions. Coordinates with appraisers in establishing procedures for the inspection of vacant land and agricultural properties to ensure complete and consistent data, assists appraisers by reviewing and researching for case preparation in defense of values of vacant land and agricultural classified properties before various boards and hearings. Requirements: High school diploma or GED and proven work experience as a heavy equipment operator and/or truck driver for the construction and maintenance of roads; possession of a valid CO Class A CDL.
