Managing Concerns About Falls
Workshop runs from January 30th to March 20th 2014 at Mountain View United
Methodist Church in Woodland Park on Thursdays, 1:30-3:30PM.
Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their
activities. A MATTER OF BALANCE is and award-winning program designed
to manage falls and increase activity levels.
Who Should Attend?
Anyone age 60+ concerned about falls
Anyone interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength
Anyone who has fallen in the past
Anyone who has restricted activities because of falling concerns

from February 19th to March 26th 2014 at Community Partnership in Divide on
Have you or someone you love been diagnosed with Diabetes or Pre-Diabetes? The workshop uses an evidence-based approach that will benefit your health through active self management. Participants will improve their health and increase their quality of life by finding practical ways to deal with better nutrition and exercise choices, understand new treatment options, and learn better ways to talk with your doctor and family about your health. Workshop leaders teach concrete steps such as goal setting, creating action plans, relaxation techniques, healthy eating and communication skills. Moving for Better Balance is a twelve week
falls prevention program using the principles and movements
of Tai Chi designed to help adults 60 years and older
improve their balance and increase their confidence in doing
