Teller County Facilities Department
The Facilities Department supports the following responsibilities and services: the Parks Division
- building and building systems maintenance - housekeeping - grounds and parking lot maintenance
- construction project management - workplace safety - life safety - and general services that
affect our County's efficiency; e.g., office rearrangement, furniture assembly.
The Department is comprised of the Department Director, an Operations Supervisor, four
maintenance technicians, two full-time custodians and three part-time custodians. The Department
supports nineteen (19) buildings with a total of 125,000 square feet of space.
It has been written that the best that can be said about building maintenance is that everything
looks the same each day - that nothing deteriorates without notice and care. We in the Facilities
Department pride ourselves in being systems generalists with the knowledge to understand all the
challenges of maintaining these buildings. We provide a safe, clean place for our fellow employees
to work and for the public at large to enjoy when visiting.
