Teller County applications are available at the Teller County Human Resource Office, 112 North A Street, P.O. Box 959, Cripple Creek, 80813, or by clicking on the above link “Job Application Form”. This form can be printed and submitted using the instructions below.

   • Applications that are not completed clearly and/or are not signed and dated may not receive consideration.
   • Applications will be kept for a period of one (1) year from the date application is received.
   • During that one year period an applicant can call Human Resources at (719) 689-2988, or email Human Resources and ask that
      their application be included for consideration for the desired open position.
   • The County will not be responsible for applications left in other County offices with the understanding that they will be forwarded
      to the HR office.

Job Description: Teller County seeks an individual to fill the position of Case Services Aide II-Ongoing for the Department of Social Services. This position performs as first point of contact for reports of suspect abuse and/or neglect of children, youth or adults by phone or in person; performs background checks on adults and children over the age of 10 in both Child Welfare and Adult protection referrals; responsible for preparing referrals for the RED team process on a daily basis and enters the results of the RED team into the TRAILS or CAPS systems; responsible for logging referrals for both the Child Welfare and Adult Protection programs and providing month end reports to the intake supervisor; responsible for the weekly preparation of the Child Protection Team Log; responsible for determination of eligibility for IV-E and Maintenance of Efforts (MOE) for children and youth in the Child Welfare System; provide backup as needed for the Ongoing Case Services Aide II; perform administrative tasks for caseworkers including, but not limited to copying, filing and filling out routine forms; covers as the Hotline Screener 11:30am until 8:00pm. Knowledge of enhanced screening techniques; must have knowledge of effective parenting skills and infant/child development; ability to assess family dynamics to deal with crisis situations; ability to communicate clearly and supportively in verbal and written form.
