Applicants Must Follow These Instructions

Teller County applications are available at the Teller County Human Resource Office, 112 North A Street, P.O. Box 959, Cripple Creek, 80813, or by clicking on the above link “Job Application Form”. This form can be printed and submitted using the instructions below.

    • Applications that are not completed clearly and/or are not signed and dated may not receive consideration.
    • Applications will be kept for a period of one (1) year from the date application is received.
    • During that one year period an applicant can call Human Resources at (719) 689-2988, or email Human Resources and ask that their application be included
       for consideration for the desired open position.
    • The County will not be responsible for applications left in other County offices with the understanding that they will be forwarded to the HR office.

 Applications completed for the open positions must be submitted by email to HR@co.teller.co.us, by fax to (719) 686-7900, by postal service to the above
listed address or in person to the above listed address.

Job Description: Must be able to skillfully operate and maintain a variety of heavy and light equipment and trucks; provide day to day maintenance of equipment; be in excellent physical condition; be able to lift and carry 80 pounds; be able to work under adverse weather conditions; and be able to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED plus experience as a heavy equipment operator and/or truck driver preferred. Requirements: Possession of a valid CO, Class B, CDL with ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days of employment and ability to obtain driving record upon request. Location: Woodland Park, CO
Job Description: Under direct supervision, determine initial and continuing eligibility for food stamps, all categories of public assistance and Medicaid. Gather, assemble and review information supplied by applicants and recipients regarding financial and non-financial criteria relevant to food stamp eligibility, financial assistance and/or medical assistance. This position requires the ability to learn and apply complex government rules/policies; counsel clients, prioritize, problem solve, seek alternative solutions; ability to enter data, maintain files, and working knowledge of computers.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED plus three (3) years working with the public or any combination of education and experience, and familiarity with CBMS system (Bachelor degree in human services field preferred). Requirements: Ability to clear/pass CBI and/or FBI background checks and must have a valid CO driver’s license. Submit completed Teller County Application plus resume and cover letter by Monday, April 20, 2015 to Teller County Human Resources.
