Applicants Must Follow These Instructions

Teller County applications are available at the Teller County Human Resource Office, 112 North A Street, P.O. Box 959, Cripple Creek, 80813, or by clicking on the above link “Job Application Form”. This form can be printed and submitted using the instructions below.

    • Applications that are not completed clearly and/or are not signed and dated may not receive consideration.
    • Applications will be kept for a period of one (1) year from the date application is received.
    • During that one year period an applicant can call Human Resources at (719) 689-2988, or email Human Resources and ask that their application be included
       for consideration for the desired open position.
    • The County will not be responsible for applications left in other County offices with the understanding that they will be forwarded to the HR office.

 Applications completed for the open positions must be submitted by email to HR@co.teller.co.us, by fax to (719) 686-7900, by postal service to the above
listed address or in person to the above listed address.

Job Description: Responsibilities include: processing motor vehicle transactions; examine instruments for recording and processing; assist with preparation and conduct of elections. Must be detail oriented, a quick learner and have solid organizational and math skills; have the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities; excellent computer skills; ability to operate various office equipment; ability to communicate effectively with the public and co-workers. Job Description: Teller County Community Development Services Division is accepting applications for the position of Building Inspector. Schedule and perform field inspections of building operations to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local regulations; inspections to include but not limited to footings, foundations, framing, roofing, plumbing, heating, gas, septic and related matters including building code enforcement. Assist and advise the public in matters related to regulation requirements; meet with contractors, architects, engineers and homeowner-builders to answer questions or resolve non-compliance issues with reference to regulations. Provide information and direction at Board of Review meetings regarding code issues. Keep abreast of current industry developments and changes to the codes in order to provide accurate information to contractors and the public. Maintain accurate records pertaining to permits and inspections. Provide inspection information and reports to various organizations. Inspect for zoning compliance as needed and identified by the Planning Division. Perform plan review on an as-needed basis.
