Applicants Must Follow These Instructions

Teller County applications are available at the Teller County Human Resource Office, 112 North A Street, P.O. Box 959, Cripple Creek, 80813, or by clicking on the above link “Job Application Form”. This form can be printed and submitted using the instructions below.

    • Applications that are not completed clearly and/or are not signed and dated may not receive consideration.
    • Applications will be kept for a period of one (1) year from the date application is received.
    • During that one year period an applicant can call Human Resources at (719) 689-2988, or email Human Resources and ask that their application be included
       for consideration for the desired open position.
    • The County will not be responsible for applications left in other County offices with the understanding that they will be forwarded to the HR office.

listed address or in person to the above listed address.

Receives and priortizes emergency and other calls for service, informs and dispatches response units; prepares and maintains a variety of records. Receive and respond to telephone and radio requests for officer assistance and information; receive and dispatches radio messages to all units (to include, but not limited to: Patrol, Code Enforcement, Division of Gaming, Division of Wildlife, U.S. Forest Service, Colorado State Parks, Animal Control, Fire Departments, Ambulances, Emergency Medical Services as well as other agencies) when on the County frequency. Working knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and techniques; thorough understanding of computer accounting operations, spreadsheets and various computer software; ability to master complex accounting systems and varied fiscal years; knowledge of and ability to operate computers, calculators and other office equipment; attention to detail, neatness and accuracy; ability to work independently, schedule effectively and develop policies and procedures; ability to maintain work relationships and work effectively with other agencies, co-workers and the public; must be flexible in a constantly fluctuating environment. Job Description: Person is responsible for approving all construction projects and assuring that a high level of health, safety and welfare is provided to Teller County residents through compliance with Federal, State and local regulations. Plan, direct staff and participate in checking plans and some limited building inspection for compliance; supervise field inspections staff to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local regulations; must have thorough knowledge of building, plumbing and mechanical codes and regulations; thorough knowledge of building specifications and plan; and effective written, verbal and public presentation communication skills. Job Description: Teller County Community Development Services Division is accepting applications for the position of Building Inspector. Schedule and perform field inspections of building operations to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local regulations; inspections to include but not limited to footings, foundations, framing, roofing, plumbing, heating, gas, septic and related matters including building code enforcement. Assist and advise the public in matters related to regulation requirements; meet with contractors, architects, engineers and homeowner-builders to answer questions or resolve non-compliance issues with reference to regulations. Provide information and direction at Board of Review meetings regarding code issues. Keep abreast of current industry developments and changes to the codes in order to provide accurate information to contractors and the public. Maintain accurate records pertaining to permits and inspections. Provide inspection information and reports to various organizations. Inspect for zoning compliance as needed and identified by the Planning Division. Perform plan review on an as-needed basis.
