Teller County applications are available at the Teller County Human Resource Office, 112 North A Street, P.O. Box 959, Cripple Creek, 80813, or by clicking on the above link “Job Application Form”. This form can be printed and submitted using the instructions below.

    • Applications that are not completed clearly and/or are not signed and dated may not receive consideration.
    • Applications will be kept for a period of one (1) year from the date application is received.
    • During that one year period an applicant can call Human Resources at (719) 689-2988, or email Human Resources and ask that their application be included
       for consideration for the desired open position.
    • The County will not be responsible for applications left in other County offices with the understanding that they will be forwarded to the HR office.

Job Description: Teller County seeks a Social Caseworker III-Intake for the Department of Social Services. A Social Caseworker III-Intake provides initial response and child protection, Youth in Conflict and/or Adult Protection services; provides crisis assessments and intervention; supervises placement of children out of home; involvement with Courts and other community agencies and professionals. Must have working knowledge of principles, practices and protocols regarding Child Welfare and Youth in Conflict, and/or Adult Protection; knowledge of the Children’s Code of State Statutes, Teller County Social Services policies and court procedures; working knowledge of child development, abuse, mental illness and family systems; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to quickly and independently arrive at logical, sound conclusions and decisions. Must be flexible in work schedule and be able to cover on call duties. Completed application plus resume due by 12:00 pm, Monday, June 30, 2014 at the above address. EOE
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in field of Social Work or human behavioral science field plus two years of full-time professional social casework experience including one year at full journey level work or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s Degree is desirable. Department: Community Development Services Division
Compensation: $3,354 - $3,726/month (DOQ) plus full benefits.
Job Type: Non-Exempt

Job Description: Schedule and perform field inspections of building operations to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local regulations; inspections to include but not limited to footings, foundations, framing, roofing, plumbing, heating, gas, septic and related matters including building code enforcement. Assist and advise the public in matters related to regulation requirements; meet with contractors, architects, engineers and homeowner-builders to answer questions or resolve non-compliance issues with reference to regulations. Provide information and direction at Board of Review meetings regarding code issues. Keep abreast of current industry developments and changes to the codes in order to provide accurate information to contractors and the public. Maintain accurate records pertaining to permits and inspections. Provide inspection information and reports to various organizations. Inspect for zoning compliance as needed and identified by the Planning Division. Perform plan review on an as-needed basis.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED plus four (4) years of work related experience. Requirements: Possession of valid CO driver’s license, possession of a current ICC Certification for residential or commercial plumbing inspector or a current journeyman or master State of Colorado Plumbing license; ability to obtain ICC certifications for a Building and/or Plumbing/Mechanical Inspector on an annual basis. Job Description: Provides para-professional services primarily for families in support of a treatment plan developed by professional caseworkers; supervises court-ordered visitations; may perform basic intake screening, data support and transport clients. Must have knowledge of parenting skills and infant/child development; ability to interact with family members/clients and intervene in family dynamics; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with clients, in court and other agencies; ability to instruct and monitor; and ability to troubleshoot data computer problems.
Requirements: . Education: High school diploma or GED, three years experience in public contact providing services, including one year in a social services agency. Requirements: Possession of a valid CO driver’s license. Ability to clear/pass CBI or FBI background checks and different levels of security to confidential information with various State departments.
