    • Applications that are not completed clearly and/or are not signed and dated may not receive consideration.
    • Applications will be kept for a period of one (1) year from the date application is received.
    • During that one year period an applicant can call Human Resources at (719) 689-2988, or email Human Resources and ask that their application be included for consideration for the desired open position.
    • The County will not be responsible for applications left in other County offices with the understanding that they will be forwarded to the HR office.

Job Description: Teller County seeks an individual to fill the position of WIC Education Specialist for the Department of Public Health in Divide. This position is responsible for the implementation, coordination and compliance of all WIC programs according to contractual regulations and practices. Person must be able to act as Case Manager for applicants to determine and certify eligibility; provide nutrition education; responsible for the completion of WIC program training modules; serve as Local Agency System Administrator; monitor approved food retailers for compliance; complete reports and maintain accurate chart records for local agency and State. Ability to work in remote settings; strong computer skills; be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; and ability to maintain confidentiality.
