    • Applications that are not completed clearly and/or are not signed and dated may not receive consideration.
    • Applications will be kept for a period of one (1) year from the date application is received.
    • During that one year period an applicant can call Human Resources at (719) 689-2988, or email Human Resources and ask that their application be included for consideration for the desired open position.
    • The County will not be responsible for applications left in other County offices with the understanding that they will be forwarded to the HR office.

Job Description: Teller County seeks an Equipment Mechanic II to work in the Fleet Department. The Equipment Mechanic II performs highly skilled mechanical repair and diagnostic work in the maintenance and/or repair of County vehicles and equipment in a departmental shop/facility. Performs preventative maintenance work and shop cleanup tasks. Documents job time, vehicle hours and miles, parts used per job, parts needed, and any repairs accomplished and provides this important information to proper sources, including input data into computer. Repair, rebuild, replace and diagnose problems in their area of responsibility on a wide variety of County equipment. Design and fabricate parts when needed. Inspects vehicles and equipment for compliance to State and Departmental Standards and/or Regulations then correcting any inconsistencies. Must be able to operate all classes of vehicles to troubleshoot, test and determine repairs needed. Provide “on-the-road” service in emergency situations including temporary repairs in the field. Receive and respond to telephone and radio requests for officer assistance and information; receive and dispatches radio messages to all units (to include, but not limited to: Patrol, Code Enforcement, Division of Gaming, Division of Wildlife, U.S. Forest Service, Colorado State Parks, Animal Control, Fire Departments, Ambulances, Emergency Medical Services as well as other agencies) when on the County frequency. The Teller/Park Early Childhood Council (TPECC) Coordinator is a grant-funded position that is responsible for the operation of the Teller/Park Early Childhood Council including grant writing to ensure continued funding and ensuring that all legal requirements of the operations are met according to the grant. Responsible for the supervision of other grant-funded positions within the program. Coordinate and implement the strategic planning process and monitor, document and report outcomes. Manage grants including financial management program benchmarks, outcomes and reporting. Supervise other grant-funded positions within the program, including contracts.
