    Craigslist Safe Zone -
Located on the north side of the Sheriff's Office by the entrance to the lower level of the building (near HWY24).   There is a metal sign attached to the building identifying this parking area as the Exchange area between the hours of 10am-4pm, 7 days a week.  This will allow citizens to feel secure and give us the opportunity to have video surveillance of transactions in this area.

    Code of Ethics

We believe in the preservation of basic human rights and maintenance of individual dignity under the rule and spirit of law which dictates that the ends do not always justify the means and that punishment is not a function of the police.
We believe in proactive team management, open communication and personnel input as a part of the policy and procedure formulation process.
We all recognize that once a decision is taken it is critical that everyone, even those who may hold a contrary view, must work together to achieve department goals.  We believe in providing, empathetic, responsible and professional service to citizens and visitors alike to ensure the quality of life enjoyed in our rustic communities. The citizens of Teller County have endowed us with a public trust. We honor that trust by holding ourselves to the highest standards of professional conduct, wholly subscribing to the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics.
